A. The opening conversation about the rabbit was quite strange. when elizabeth states that " she walked into the house this afternoon; i found her sitting in the corner like she come to visit." I think the rabbit is some kind of sign about whats going on in there culture right now. Rabbit dont usually wonder into peoples homes because they know that the people that live in those homes hunt and kill them. So in short there is something really strange about this rabbit.
E." elizabeth: the deputy governor promised hangin' if they'll not confess. john. the town's gone wild, I think. she speak of abigail. and i thought she were a saint, to hear her. abigail brings the other girls into the court, and where she walks the crowd will part like the sea for Israel. and folks are brought before them. and if they scream and howl and fall to the floor- the person's clapped in the fail for bewitch-in them." a couple important things lie in this quote. Elizabeth knew that her husband the Proctor was having an affar with abigail but still speak highly of her. It give a good insight on whats goin on amongst the people in Salem. It also shows how little they know about things for example the last sentence about people falling is completely absurd.
D. All characters amazed me in this act because they all had very strong options on whats going on and whats going to happen. Also they are all strong and dignified people in general. Their personalities bring a more interesting out look on the play.

Marvin Etienne Mr. Thomas English 11 25 September 2013 The Crucible To comment on Matthew Chan's argument about most couples having John Proctor and Elizabeth's relationship, I think that he is right. There is a sense of a lack of trust between the two. For example. John tells Elizabeth that he wasn't in the room, alone with Abigail and she finds out that he lying. In today's society, a lot of couples do not work out. This is true with reality television shows as they show how relationships can be crippled by a lack a trust between the two. E. I noticed a change in Mary Warren in the reading. She has become more vocal about her feelings and is standing up for herself. I feel that establishes herself as an important character in the courthouse. She also starts to not allow herself to be pushed around anymore by the Proctors. " “I hope you’ll not speak so sarcastical no more." This shows that she demands respect and she is not the same, flat character she was before. D. I find it interesting how Elizabeth and John's relationship deteriorates as the play progresses. A lot of lies and hiding of the truth is going on, and it is negatively effecting their relationship. Especially when he tells Elizabeth that he wasn't in the room, alone with Abigail. "She told it to me in a room alone- I have no proof for it." It caught my attention when he says that he has no proof for his lie. I wonder how awkward that situation was for the two of them.
