Matthew Chan Mr. Thomas English 11 7 October 2013
p.1242-1248- A. The tension between Abigail and Elizabeth becomes more intense. Abigail charged Elizabeth with murder while Elizabeth wants to do the same to Abigail. Not only is Elizabeth charged but she is taken away and sent to prison. Both Elizabeth and Proctor want to charge Abigail with murder. We can relate this event in today’s world. Here, two girls like the same guy while in today’s world, that happens quite often. This battle might last till the end of the play. C. What is the problem with Abigail? In the first act, Abigail behaved strangely to stay out of trouble. She was ready to do harm to others to save herself. Now, in Act 2, she is also saving herself by making others believe that Elizabeth is guilty and is a murderer. She makes everyone believe that Elizabeth is the guilty one while she has done nothing wrong like Abigail. The next thing she might do is turn on John Proctor, like in Act 1. E. What is up with Mary Warren? She tells things to the Proctor’s about what happened at the courthouse and she is very loyal to them. Mary sobs at the end of the act because she cannot go against Abigail. Why can’t she? Is she afraid that Abigail is going to do something bad to her if she turns on her or she is afraid to do anything, in general. She needs to stand up for herself and do what she feels is right for herself and not for others.

I. Abigail is completely and utterly insane Mr. Chan. She is over come with anger towards John Proctor for stay with his wife and now helping her out with her "womenly needs". Also all this power has gotten to her head. mostly the fact that she can decide someones fate by just shedding a single tear. She is all around a psychopath.
e. I feel terrible for John proctor. he is stripped of his wife and is force to see the women that he slept with hold a massive grudge against. There is nothing he can do to help the women that he loves and because of his sexual actions he is going to have to see her die. Its truly is a sad sight he states " I never knew until tonight that the world is gone daft with witchcraft!."
C. I dont understand why the judges arent seeing that the people are faking it. maybe just in the move the way the depicted it was kinda cheesy but lets be real. These girl are just full with fake devil and will soon meet the devil.
