How to hide or unhide files with Funter?
All you need to do is hit Command+Shift+G from the Mac desktop (or Finder > Go > Go to Folder) and type in ~/Library to temporarily access the Library directory in the Finder. When you are done, close this window and it will no longer be visible.

With Exporter, you get to export all your notes as plain text to a location of your choice. You don’t have to worry about losing formatting, because Exporter converts the notes to Markdown before exporting them. Be prepared to lose tables and their contents during conversion though.
This almost stinks of the 'brain-dead' 'anti-virus' tools that spew across the web alerting you to all kinds of viruses, malware, etc. that can only infect Windows machines, even though you're running a Mac. More often than not these fake tools are nothing more than a front-end to get you to install their 'security' software which actually installs more malware.
I think we're in violent agreement on this issue...
Review the source code and see what the details of the failed test were. I suspect spurious. Barring cases where you've been exploring areas of the 'net you probably should not (and downloading and loading and authenticating questionable bits), I suspect you're wasting your time looking for rootkits. Work on your backups, on improving your passwords and on your operational security.
